Tenth Annual America's Pull
2-Day National Champions Tour
America's Pull
at the Marshall-Putnam Fairgrounds in Henry, Illinois will host the Lucas Oil
Pro Pulling League National Champions Tour, July 11 & 12, 2008. This will
be the fair's tenth year to showcase nationally televised truck and tractor
pulling at the Henry, Illinois based pull.

America's Pull traditionally offers one of the highest purse payouts in
all of North America. Each class will receive a raised purse payout above
the tour standards ensuring that best competitors in North America will target
this premier pulling event. This pull not only offers big money, but it also
awards the Lucas Oil PPL World Cup to the winner of each class. The
32 inch tall engraved lead crystal vase is revered by pullers who have won it
and those that wish to have it.
Six classes
competing at the 2008 event will include Modified, Pro Stock and Unlimited Super
Stock Tractors, 2WD Super Modified and 4WD Modified Trucks.
By invitation
only, the remaining class will introduce the inaugural "Ultimate Six Pack".
The six toughest multiple turbo charged Diesel Super Stock 4WD Trucks in the
land have accepted an invite to "smoke" it out in Henry for the PPL National
Title. This is a class you do not want to miss!
Both nights will
feature all six classes. Friday's pull will set the stage for the Saturday
night finals where the PPL World Cup will be awarded. For a driver to win
the Cup he must win either Friday or Saturday night. If there are two
different winners, the tie will be decided on how they place the night they did
not win. After that if there is still a tie, the furthest distance pulled
when not winning will be the ultimate tie breaker.
This national event is conducted on two parallel clay tracks
specifically designed for pulling, providing two of the toughest and most
consistent pulling surfaces in the country. Stadium seating along both
sides of the two pulling surfaces gives the pulling fans excellent visibility of
the entire track. Two rows of interconnected concrete safety barriers line
both sides of the track. The M-P Fair has one of the best nighttime
lighting systems in the country enhancing TV filming and fan viewing.
The Marshall-Putnam Fair is located 30 miles north of Peoria along
State Route 29 in Henry, Illinois.
